Section Schedule HIST 259 Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender History in the U.S. People with same-sex erotic orientations and people who are transgender have played a role in North American history since before the founding of the United States. This course will examine their history, and will focus on the many contributions of these men and women as well as the difficulties they faced from before the founding of the nation up to the present.
